2. General information about processing

We process personal data only to the extent necessary to run this website, respond to enquiries, secure our systems or meet legal obligations.

Our legal bases include Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where processing is necessary to take steps before entering into a contract, Article 6(1)(c) GDPR where we have a legal obligation and Article 6(1)(f) GDPR where we have a legitimate interest in providing a secure, reliable and accessible website.

3. Website visits and server logs

When you visit this website, we process technical data needed to deliver it and keep it secure. This may include the following:

  • IP address
  • Date and time of the request
  • Page or file requested
  • Volume of data transferred and HTTP status code
  • Referring URL, if sent by the browser
  • Browser, operating system and device information

We process these data to serve the website, diagnose errors, detect misuse and protect the website on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. We retain log data only for as long as these purposes require.

4. Contacting us

When you contact us using the form, by email or by telephone, we process the information you provide, such as your name, university, contact details, the content of your enquiry and the time of communication. The form may also include your selected plan, hosting option and request for trial access. We use these data to handle your enquiry and for subsequent business correspondence.

Where your enquiry concerns a quotation or contract, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. In other cases, processing is based on our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

5. Cookies and local preferences

The marketing website currently uses no analytics or marketing cookies. Where technically necessary cookies or local preferences from the app are present, these may be used for display and core functionality.

Your plan and hosting selections and any form draft are stored temporarily in the current browser tab so that they are available when you move between the home and contact pages. Your draft is transmitted only when you submit the form. After successful submission, it is removed from this temporary storage. Storage normally ends when the browser tab is closed.

The interactive product previews use sample data. Demo bookings, chat messages and course edits are processed in your browser and are not sent to the live app service. Reloading the preview resets these entries.

6. Fonts

This website uses the Inter typeface. Font files are served with the website. Loading the font does not establish a connection to an external font provider.

7. Recipients and service providers

Personal data may be transferred to technical service providers who help us with hosting, operations, maintenance or communications. These providers process the data only for the purposes required.

We do not share personal data for advertising purposes or sell personal data.

Interactive OpenStreetMap maps

Maps in the product previews load map tiles from OpenStreetMap. When a map loads, your browser connects to servers of the OpenStreetMap Foundation. Information transmitted includes your IP address, browser information and the tiles requested. Tiles are delivered through a worldwide network of servers.

For further information, see the OpenStreetMap Foundation privacy policy.

8. Retention periods

We retain personal data only for as long as the relevant purpose or legal retention obligations require. Contact enquiries are deleted once they have been handled, unless there are legal or business grounds for retaining them.

9. Your rights

Under the GDPR, your rights include:

  • Access to the personal data being processed
  • Rectification of inaccurate data
  • Erasure of personal data
  • Restriction of processing
  • Data portability
  • Objection to processing based on legitimate interests
  • Withdrawal of consent with effect for the future

You can exercise your rights at any time by emailing info@unisport-connect.de.

10. Right to lodge a complaint

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. For private companies based in Bavaria, the competent authority is generally the Bavarian Data Protection Authority.

11. No automated decision-making

The marketing website does not use automated decision-making, including profiling, within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR.

12. Updates to this privacy policy

We update this privacy policy when the website, the services it uses or legal requirements change.
